Holy Family Academy is a private, independent school teaching in the Roman Catholic classical tradition. Holy Family Academy is established with the intention of providing 'true liberty' for parents in the choice of a school to aid them in the education of their children in grades 7-12. It provides:
- An education from an orthodox Catholic perspective
- A classical liberal arts education that focuses on excellence and mastery
- A study of original source materials
- Use of the Socratic method (especially in the high school)
- A study of the Catholic Faith free of dissent
- Small class size
- Prayer that permeates the entire life of the academy
- An atmosphere that fosters discipline and respectful obedience to proper authority
- An expectation that faculty and students will conduct themselves at all times as proper ladies and gentlemen.
The environment and the curriculum of Holy Family Academy is designed to insure the proper formation and education of the human person in light of his ultimate goal which is a life lived to the greater glory of God and eternal life lived with God in Heaven. Called by God to bring peace, justice, and truth into the society in which he lives, thus fashioning a world more in tune with the dignity of the human person, the Christian graduate must be educated in excellence.
Authentic classical education informs students with the most excellent intellectual accomplishments in the order of nature (i.e. the liberal arts and sciences, the fine arts) and in the order of grace (sacred doctrine/theology). Grounded in the seven liberal arts (the trivium and the quadrivium), Holy Familiy Academy teaches its students how to think like the great men and women who produced our civilization.
Education must not simply impart knowledge of the various disciplines, but should give students tools whereby they can gain knowledge on their own. These tools will include the ability to: reason, distinguish, express themselves well, and persuade.
Members of the Board of Trustees and all faculty and staff take an Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium and sign a Profession of Faith to the Roman Catholic Church.

Mount Royal Academy
Mount Royal Academy is a private school with a Roman Catholic curriculum, nestled in the hills of western New Hampshires Dartmouth - Lake Sunapee Region. For eight years the faculty and staff, families and friends of Mount Royal have strived to provide a quality education to the children of our community. Currently the Academy offers schooling for children in pre-kindergarten through high school.
The school was founded in 1994 by a small handful of families who sought for an alternative to the modern day public school education. Mount Royal was to offer their children not only an education, but most importantly a formation in Christian faith and morals. Many of the founding families home-schooled their children prior to MRAs commencement. The school would be a consolidation of their efforts.
Currently children from over 40 families benefit from the formation that the founding families worked to institute. Mount Royal Academys staff is comprised of many graduates from the best orthodox Catholic Colleges in the U.S. We pride ourselves in striving to offer the best education and Christian formation that a school can offer.
As Catholics, we believe that the best education we can give our children is that which leads them to know, love, and serve God here on earth and be with Him eternally in Heaven. We believe that each person is called by God to serve Him in a chosen vocation, and so we commit ourselves to prepare our students for a Christian life through a challenging academic curriculum.
The academic curriculum, as well as the habits and discipline gained, form the core of the students training and are the foundation for all future growth. We believe that by challenging our students and having high academic and moral standards, the students will form life-long habits of discipline and control that will help them better persevere in the path of virtue throughout life.
Dedicated to Our Lady and her most chaste spouse, St. Joseph, MRA believes that a strong spiritual and academic education is essential in preparing her children for the world of tomorrow. MRA is dedicated to the education of the whole individual. Rooted in Catholicism, the learning environment, curriculum, and methods of education allow our students to reach their intellectual and spiritual potentials in order to attain the end for which they were created, namely, eternal happiness with God.
Mount Royal Academy education has three essential and related missions: to teach the intellect, to educate the heart, to form the character.
To Teach: Teachers impart truth; students study, analyze, and build upon it. Through facts and figures, in laws and tables and declensions, in religion, philosophy, and literature, and finally, in the cultural information that truth is necessary to professional qualification, Mount Royal Academy proclaims that truth is the foundation of knowledge from which all other learning flows.
To Educate: Also essential is the education of the heart and imagination. Mount Royal Academy helps students form their personal view of the world, of nature, and of man in harmony with human and spiritual values. In creating lovely objects, through listening to music, and by reading fine books, students are led to appreciate the beautiful, the noble and the just. Semper Altius (Always Higher), the schools motto, names our ambition to be the best that humanity can imagine.
To Form: From teacher to student, the love for human values is passed through example and invitation to all the best in human achievement. Constant concern for justice, fidelity to ones word, good manners are the goals of Mount Royals formation of character, where the human person stands at the center of our endeavor.
