 St. Joseph’s High School is a private, Roman Catholic, co-educational, college-preparatory day school recognized and approved by and within the Diocese of Charleston. St. Joseph’s seeks academic excellence and strives to form the minds, hearts, and souls of its students in the likeness of Christ.
St. Joseph’s High School will
- create a joyful Catholic school culture rooted in the sacramental life of the Church.
- pursue rigorous liberal arts curriculum designed to develop a Catholic vision of the world, of life, of culture, and of history.
- provide students of college-preparatory abilities with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in higher education and in life.
- encourage students to participate in co-curricular activities, which complement and enrich their academic studies.
- welcome students of other religious backgrounds in an atmosphere of Christian love.

St. Joseph’s High School, located on a beautiful 36-acre campus sitting atop an oak-lined hill, was founded in 1993 in response to the need for Catholic secondary education in the Upstate of South Carolina. The school offers a college-preparatory, liberal arts course of study to include over sixty challenging college-preparatory and honors classes and ten college-credit Advanced Placement Courses. In addition, there are over thirty sports, clubs and activities represented.
St. Joseph’s students have consistently scored higher than the local, state and national averages on college entrance tests. One hundred percent of all St. Joseph’s graduates have been accepted into colleges and universities, with the most recent graduating class receiving over $1,000,000 in college scholarship offers.
